On May 25th, the Nuclear Industry Yantai Tongcin Group Jiang Zhuangde Academician workstation was officially unveiled in Qixia. Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor Zhuangde Jiang of Xi'an Jiaotong University attended the unveiling ceremony with five members of the academic team. Tao Zhu, executive deputy mayor of Qixia City, presided over the ceremony. Zhaokuan Chen, secretary of the Qixia Municipal Party Committee, delivered a speech. The heads of various departments of Qixia City and Songshan Development Zone, 16 high-tech enterprises in Qixia City, and senior management personnel of Tongcin Group attended the unveiling ceremony. During the ceremony, Tongcin Group Chairman Feng Gao representative Group and Jiang Academician solemnly signed the cooperation agreement on production, study and research, and issued letters of appointment to Professor Zhuangde Jiangi and academician members Weixuan Jing, Libo Zhao, Jianjun Ding, Qijing Lin and other researchers and researchers. During the event, Bo Zhang, deputy mayor of Yantai City, came to the venue to visit the academicians.

Academician Zhuangde Jiang is an academic leader in the field of mechanical manufacturing and automation. He is the pioneer and leader of high-end MEMS sensing technology in China. Academician Jiang led the research team to engage in micro-nano manufacturing, precision measurement and precision machining technology and equipment research, breaking through the key technical bottlenecks in the design, manufacture and packaging of high-end micro-nano sensors, breaking the foreign technology blockade and monopoly, and MEMS. System sensor products are pushed into engineering applications, leading and driving the development of high-end MEMS sensor technology in China, and have made outstanding contributions in the field of engineering technology for digital precision machining equipment and measurement technology. Academician Jiang’s scientific research achievements have won the second prize of the National Technology Invention and the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 8 provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards, 2 editors, and more than 400 academic papers, authorizing Chinese invention patents. The remaining items, one US invention patent, won one Chinese Patent Excellence Award, and trained more than 100 professional talents such as doctors and masters.

At the opening ceremony, Zhaokuan Chen, secretary of the Qixia Municipal Party Committee, pointed out that the Academician Jiang Zhuangde Academician of Tongcin Group is the first academician workstation in the manufacturing industry in the city. It will provide strong support for the city to promote the conversion of old and new kinetic energy and build an advanced manufacturing base.

Academician Jiang point out that China is in the key development period of implementing China Manufacturing 2025 and manufacturing transformation and upgrading in the present. To win international competitive advantage, Chinese enterprises must strengthen the research and development of core technologies with independent intellectual property rights and lead the innovation chain. Academician Jiang thanked Tongcin Group and Qixia City for their sincere invitation and was willing to build a bridge for enterprise development and local industrial transformation and upgrading.

Chairman Gao introduced the basic situation of Tongcin Group and believed that insisting on technological innovation as the core driving force for industrial development is a key factor for Tongcin's development. At the same time, he thinks that it will build a research and development portal for Tongcin Group around the academician workstations. In practice, companies are required to actively link and transform to contribute to local economic development. After the unveiling ceremony, Academician Jiang Zhuangde gave an academic report entitled ‘Intelligent Manufacturing - Inheritance, Innovation, and Integration’ to the participants.

From May 25th to 26th, Academician Jiang led the research team visited the Tongcin Group and the companies. Academician Jiang and his team went to the machining center to check the processing of the belt vacuum filter and vertical filter press of the Tongcin Filter Division. They asked in detail about the ‘Asian First Dam – Shanxi Yangling Rubber Dam’. The operation of the project, the demonstration of the ‘Digital Mine Control System’ of the Tongcin Automation Division, the ‘Remote Maintenance Platform for Rubber Dam’ and the test flight of the special drone for fruit plant plant protection. At Sunny Environmental Protection, academician Jiang gets detailed the company's technical progress in FGD desulfurization, tailings dry discharge, wastewater treatment, and sludge treatment.

After the on-site inspection, academician Jiang and his team held a special discussion and exchange with Tongcin Group executives and core technical personnel of each company. The two sides refine the next step of the industry-university-research cooperation, and initially identified two cooperation projects for the MEMS industry big data system and density meter.
